‘Porridge and the Big Pile of Poo’ is a humorous tale based on a true story about a very friendly but very naughty westie who went for a walk and came across an enormous pile of cow poo—with disastrous consequences. The story has been brought to life by Porridge’s owner, Eleanor Houghton, who wrote and illustrated this book as light relief from her PhD.

In real life, Porridge’s antics have gone down in history and have led her to amass a large Instagram following. Her proudest moments include: opening the freezer door and consuming an entire lemon drizzle cake, before being horribly sick on the stairs; shredding the lining of a brand new (and expensive) Aquascutum mac and weeing on her owner’s tax return. She liked walks on the beach, licking the legs of passing children, barking at squirrels, pancakes and sausages. Porridge often found herself in trouble, but her winning personality meant that she was always forgiven.
